Ride the roads that are right for today.

Quixit understands roads and paths. Tell it how far you want to ride, and it builds loops from quiet, dry, well-surfaced roads near you, explains why it chose each one, and fits the workout your training plan asks for. Tell it how far you want to run, and it builds a loop on sidewalks, paths and quiet streets, counting every crossing.

Every road measured

Traffic counts from state and federal surveys, speed limits, lanes, shoulders, bike lanes and surface, for every road within reach, scored the way transport planners score cycling stress. Rain radar says which roads are still wet.

Judged by its worst mile

One bad stretch ruins a ride. Each build traces dozens of loops, ranks them on their worst mile as well as their average, and every route says why it won and what it costs.

Your plan, on real roads

Sync workouts from Intervals.icu, TrainingPeaks or TrainerRoad and get a route laid out for each one.

Runs, on ways made for feet

Choose Run and Quixit reads sidewalks, footways, paths and trails rather than the road itself, counts roads without a sidewalk and every crossing against a run, and keeps to the footing you ask for: paved, mixed or trail.

How a route comes together

  1. Say how far

Pick a distance, or let today's workout set it. Add a note like “away from town, easy on the hills” if you like. For a run, choose the footing too: paved, mixed or trail.

  2. Choose a loop

Three alternatives, each named by what sets it apart. A ride's are scored on traffic, surface, wetness, climbing and flow; a run's on sidewalks and paths, crossings, surface and climbing.

  3. Ride or run it

Turn-by-turn on the phone, or a GPX or FIT course sent to your Garmin, Wahoo or Karoo.
