Common questions

How do I get the app?

Quixit for iPhone is coming to the App Store soon, and this page will link to it the day it is released. Until then, @quixitapp on Instagram has the news.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen tap “Forgot your password?”. We email you a link that opens a page to choose a new one. The link works for one hour.

How do I delete my account?

In the app open Settings, then Your data, then Delete account. The account is deactivated immediately and your personal data is erased shortly after. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Settings, then Your data, then Export. The app tells you when the file is ready.

Why does Quixit ask for background location?

So a ride or a run keeps recording while your phone is locked or in a pocket. It is used only while a recording is running; finishing the activity ends it. You can change the permission in iOS Settings at any time.

How do I get a route onto my Garmin, Wahoo or Karoo?

Open the route and tap Send to device. Quixit hands the iOS share sheet a GPX or FIT course file; choose Garmin Connect, the Wahoo app or the Hammerhead app and the route appears on the device at its next sync.

Which training apps work?

Intervals.icu with an API key, TrainingPeaks and TrainerRoad with a calendar link, and any other calendar (ICS) feed. Connect them from the Training tab. Only cycling workouts are imported; running plans are not read yet.

Where is map data available?

For rides and runs alike, the map covers all fifty states and Washington, DC. Roads and paths are held ready ahead of time, so there is nothing to download when you ask for a route somewhere new.

A route it built looks wrong.

For a road that is closed, flooded, broken up or busy, file a road report in the app so the ride router and other riders learn about it. For a run, or for anything else, share the route link with us by email and say what should have been different.
